Inspired by Growing Up at the Jacksonville Beaches

As a Jacksonville native who was born and raised in the Jacksonville Beaches area, so much of this installation was inspired by the feeling of growing up near the coast.

The softness of natural light pouring into the house after a day at the beach. Sandy feet running through the kitchen. Breezy curtains moving with the ocean air. Long summer evenings that somehow felt endless at the time.

Coastal Daydream is less about creating a literal beach setup and more about capturing the feeling of coastal living in Northeast Florida.

Calm. Warm. Airy. Nostalgic.

We wanted this installation to feel elevated and artistic while still feeling deeply connected to the slower, emotional feeling so many of us associate with summers here in Jacksonville.
