I first met this sweet family during a previous photo session, so getting the opportunity to photograph another chapter of their story felt incredibly special.
They visited our studio for a gender reveal photo session in Jacksonville, FL. Soon enough, we would know the answer to the most exciting question. Would their daughter become a big sister to a little brother or a little sister?

Here are some of my favorite studio-friendly ideas:
- 🎉 Confetti Cannon Reveal A classic for a reason! Pop a confetti cannon filled with pink or blue confetti and capture everyone’s genuine reactions. This family chose blue, and the excitement was priceless.
- 🎈 Balloon Box Surprise Open a large decorated box and let pink or blue balloons float out. It’s simple, fun, and photographs beautifully.
- 🎂 Cake Cutting Cut into a cake with colored filling or frosting hidden inside. The anticipation leading up to the first slice always makes for great reactions.
- 🧁 Cupcake Reveal Each parent takes a bite of a cupcake to reveal the color inside. It’s a fun option that keeps the mess to a minimum.
- 📦 Baby Gift Box Wrap a baby outfit, shoes, or a stuffed animal in a gift box with pink or blue tissue paper. Let an older sibling open it for an extra sweet moment.
- 📖 Story Time Reveal Have your child open a book that says “Big Sister” or “Big Brother” before pulling out a matching shirt. This works especially well for toddlers and young kids.
